Finally, an update!
April 9, 2012
Urgh, this is the third time I’ve sat here and tried to finish a post. It’s pretty hard for me with a Dachshund with an ear infection and having a bajillion things to finish. I’m exaggerating. I’m just lazy. Though, the part about the Dachshund with an ear infection is true. Poor little guy.
So, what have I been up to? I know. I really need to start updating again but life has been crazy busy. First, I left my job at Titan (I was there about … 2 months) and I have been with Sojo Studios for about three now! They’re an amazing social gaming company that works with charities to help benefit them. The office is about 20 minutes away but the flexibility and the awesome people (who happen to be ex-Meteorites) make up for it. I’m pretty content with that aspect of my life. I was thinking of moving up north towards SF but the finances and timing didn’t fall into place.
I’ve been illustrating up a storm and trying to finish what I’ve started. It’s so hard since I’m always being pulled away to do something else. My cousin is having a baby so I started illustrations for her nursery. Check these bad boys out:

She has a jungle/animal theme going on for the nursery. It’s a boy. That’s all I know. I still have a lion to finish and I’ll probably expand. I want to maybe have a little give-away for a set of cards or something.
Other than that I’m taking on commissioned work and trying to work on my own little projects. Sometimes I wish life had a pause button and I can just sit around and breathe. I mean, literally, I would just sit there and breathe. Ahhhhhhhhh.
Oh, Facebook bought Instagram. What’s up with that?

Introducing Nancy and Mochi!
December 26, 2011
I’m working on an illustration of my sister, Nancy, and her cat, Mochi, for a cute blog design as a Christmas present. Mochi is pretty crazy so I figured flopping on top of her head would be the best spot for her.

It was fun!

Happy Holidays!
December 25, 2011

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I wish I were at home back east but it’s not so bad here. For starters, the weather is in the 70’s. It’s time to make cinnamon rolls and get ready for dinner tonight. I hope everyone has a great holiday :)

Some more late night freelancing
October 25, 2011
Lately I’ve been finding myself very unmotivated and lazy in regards to any freelance work. It’s not that the projects are boring … I think it’s that I’m just tired. Either way, it’s really screwing up my process and schedule so I’m just pushing through. I’m just in a funk.
I worked on some more bird illustrations tonight. This is my favorite from the batch I’ve just finished tonight - it’s a Screech Owl! You can also find that bad boy on Dribbble: http://drbl.in/chPT

Wedding Invitations: Jenn & Chris
October 5, 2011
Just because I took a sick day from work doesn’t mean I just should sit around and be, well, sick. I managed to get laundry done, dishes washed, floors mopped, and finally got around to taking pictures of the wedding invitations I designed and created for my co-worker and his fiance.

The weather here is a bit rainy today so my photos are all over the place in terms of color …Chris is a genius game designer where I work and he’s one of the most hilarious persons there. He’s also a board game geek and a huge BSG fan. His fiance, Jenn, is a talented pianist and works for various school districts as a piano instructor among other gigs. They both love to cook (and are great at it), love to have people over, and are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
