1. Frankie the amazing hot dog!

    September 20, 2011

C’mon, you all knew this was coming. Frankie turned eight on the 10th of this month and it makes me so sad. My little wiener is getting old. He is, hands down, my best friend in the entire world. Frankie is the only one that I can talk to and he’ll genuinely listen (I like to think he is, at least). He knows how I’m feeling and knows just when to come lay in my lap.

Rescuing him from Hoboken, NJ at 12am was the only right thing I’ve done so far.

This is an illustration that started out as quick pencil sketches. My friend Adam and I like to draw things randomly (some that can never be unseen) and this was our collaboration. It was drawn in Flash. Yup, good ol’ Flash. Flash is the main program I work with at the office (we design and develop social Flash games ala Facebook) and I’ve become so accustomed to it! It’s actually a bit more forgiving and free.

    Go figure.

  3. Hummingbird

    September 18, 2011

Growing up in NJ I have never seen a hummingbird, ever. I’m not sure why? Maybe it was the city I lived in - Atlantic City. I’m going to guess that hummingbirds don’t really hang out at the beach too often. Whatever the reason, I saw my first hummingbird in Baldwin Park, CA … at the age of 25. I never realized how small and fast they were!

This is an illustration I did for a client. I am illustrating several birds for them and so far the hummingbird is one of my favorites. The version I’m handing off to the client is a more clean-style whereas this one is a bit noisy and stylized.

  7. Love Your Body!

    January 15, 2011

This was a poster design that I had started working on for the 2011 NOW Foundation’s Love Your Body contest. I got caught up in work among other things and never got to finish it to send it in.

You know what that means! Another quick and dirty #daily365. I feel like I’m cheating, but hey, it happens. I finished it up tonight (there actually wasn’t much left to do) and I’m satisfied with it for the time being.

  9. Dedicated to Charlie Bear

    January 14, 2011

This next illustration for my #daily365 is dedicated to my friend Lee’s son, Charlie (aka Charlie Bear). He is the main inspiration behind our soon-to-come toddler games for the iPhone/Android and one of the cutest kids you’ll ever meet. Thing is, I’ve never met him. But I’ve heard good things!
